Shortly after the Coyotes grabbed a 1-0 lead on home ice, the Carolina Hurricanes finally put a dent in Mike Smith.

Teuvo Teravainen redirected a point shot from Jaccob Slavin to tie things up in the early stages of period two.

It’s Teravainen’s 12th of the year. Slavin (21) and Victor Rask (23) got the assists on the goal.
