The Carolina Hurricanes will hit the PNC Arena ice for one last game on Saturday night as they take on the St. Louis Blues.
It’s been a great day so far for the team after this morning’s Walk Ms: Triangle benefit, one which featured Bryan Bickell who was diagnosed with the disease nearly six months ago.
Bickell was also named this year’s Steve Chiasson award winner for determination and dedication. Other team award winners included a pair of anchors. One among the forwards and one among the defense.
Jeff Skinner was named the team MVP. He has scored a team-leading 35 goals on the season, which is a career high for him. It’s the most goals a Hurricane has scored since Eric Staal scored 40 in 2008-09.
Justin Faulk was honored with the Josef Vasicek award for cooperation with the media.
