The Hurricanes will try to pick up right where they left off after a four day break from game action. Tonight’s game is the first of the notorious State Fair road trip, although it isn’t quite as long as in years past.

Game Notes
- Tonight’s matchup is the first of two this season against the Wild. They will play in Raleigh again in late March.
- The Hurricanes are 10-8-2-4 all-time against the Wild and just 3-7-2-2 on the road.
- The Wild edged the Canes last year in the season series, going 1-0-1.
-
Warren Foegele has five goals in his first six NHL games, making him the fastest Hurricanes player to reach that milestone in franchise history.
- Wild center Eric Staal played for the Hurricanes between 2003 and 2016. Staal leads the franchise in goals, assists, points, and games played since relocation in 1997.
- The Hurricanes continue to play a physical brand of hockey as they’re tied for second in the league in hits in this young season. Jordan Staal and Brock McGinn are leading the charge, with 19 and 15 hits respectively.
