Game Notes

  • Tonight marks the second matchup between the Islanders and the Canes this season. The teams faced off in PNC Arena in the Hurricanes home opener in an OT loss in which Thomas Greiss stole the show.

  • With an assist on Friday, Sebastian Aho extended his point streak to 10 games to start the season. He sits just one game behind Ron Francis’ franchise leading 11 game season opening point streak.
  • Speaking of streaks, Micheal Ferland has himself a five game point streak after earning an assist against the Sharks on Friday. Four of his five points in that span were goals.
