The Carolina Hurricanes wrap up their short three-game homestand tonight with a visit from the Boston Bruins. Sebastian Aho will look to continue his impressive 11-game points streak before the Canes head out west for the first time this season. The Hurricanes will also be getting their first look at Scott Darling 2.0 in the regular season, as the netminder will make his first appearance of the season following an injury late in training camp. Carolina will also hope to get back on track in terms of their starts, as they have tallied only one first period goal in their last four contests.

Carolina is expected to employ a very familiar lineup this evening. Check it out below:

Micheal Ferland - Sebastian Aho - Teuvo Teravainen
Jordan Martinook - Lucas Wallmark - Andrei Svechnikov
Brock McGinn - Nicolas Roy - Valentin Zykov
Jaccob Slavin - Dougie Hamilton
Calvin de Haan - Justin Faulk
Trevor van Riemsdyk - Brett Pesce
Scott Darling
Petr Mrazek
The Bruins make their way to Raleigh off to a solid start, but are dealing with a fit of injuries. They will begin to get players back tonight, as Torey Krug is expected to return from his ankle issue. The Bruins visit also marked the, er, highly anticipated return of former Cane Joakim Nordstrom. Nordstrom has provided the Bruins with the same number of goals this season (two) as he provided Carolina in 75 games a season ago.
The focus will certainly be centered around the dynamic top line trio of Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, and David Pastrnak. That group has accounted for over half of the team’s goal total (19 of 34) in their first 11 games.
