Vancouver Canucks vs. Carolina Hurricanes: Lineups and Game Discussion

The Canes look to continue their strong start at home against the Canucks.

Jamie Kellner

The Hurricanes take the ice Tuesday night against the Vancouver Canucks before heading out on the road for the remainder of the week. After getting off to their best three-game start since moving to Raleigh, the Canes will venture outside the Metropolitan Division for the first time this season.

It appears that Curtis McElhinney will claim the net for Carolina on Tuesday, while Haydn Fleury is expected to join the lineup for the first time this season.

Valentin Zykov will watch from the press box for the second time this season, while Trevor van Riemsdyk gets his first healthy scratch of the year. The Canes will look to continue their winning ways with the following lineup:

Micheal Ferland - Sebastian Aho - Teuvo Teravainen

Warren Foegele - Jordan Staal - Justin Williams

Brock McGinn - Martin Necas - Phil Di Giuseppe

Jordan Martinook - Lucas Wallmark - Andrei Svechnikov

Jaccob Slavin - Dougie Hamilton

Calvin de Haan - Justin Faulk

Haydn Fleury - Brett Pesce

Curtis McElhinney

Petr Mrazek

The Vancouver Canucks play their first non-Flames opponent of the season as they begin a Southeastern swing in Raleigh. Jacob Markstrom will remain in net, while Tyler Motte and Michael Del Zotto have drawn out of the lineup in favor of former Bruin Tim Schaller and Ben Hutton. No word yet on if the changes are due to violation of the Canucks’ strict “No Fortnite” policy.

The Canucks are expected to start with the following lines:

Brendan Leipsic - Bo Horvat - Brock Boeser

Nikolay Goldobin - Elias Pettersson - Loui Eriksson

Sven Baertschi - Brandon Sutter - Jake Virtanen

Tim Schaller - Jay Beagle - Markus Granlund

Alex Edler - Chris Tanev

Ben Hutton - Troy Stecher

Derrick Pouliot - Erik Gudbranson
