The Los Angeles Kings are trading coasts tonight to take on the Hurricanes as both teams battle for wild card positions—Kings looking from outside by a point, Canes from within by a point.
For Carolina, Bill Peters has decided that after a three-game win streak, it’s time for drastic measures in line structures...wait, what?
That’s right! The TSA line is now the MSL line (More Shots Line? Mighty Slammers League? Mandarin as a Second Language?) with Brock McGinnn, Jordan Staal and Elias Lindholm.
But now we also have the great line name of all time: the ASS line. The third line of Sebastian Aho, Jeff Skinner and Lee Stempniak looks to bring a barrage of shots...and then there’s Lee Stempniak.
Scott Darling had a great night in net against Avs, but Cam Ward (16-7-3/2.59 GAA/.913 SV) looks to be the likely starter, according to Michael Smith.
Tonight is also Girls Hockey Night as part of Hockey Is For Everyone Month, and the Canes are welcoming bsck a Triangle native to kick off the festivities:
