If it seems like deja vu, you’re right. The Hurricanes will take on the Ottawa Senators again, tonight in Raleigh at 7 p.m. The Hurricanes and Senators faced off in Canada’s capital on Saturday with the Canes earning a 5-2 win.
The Hurricanes recalled forward Warren Foegele who will make his NHL debut this evening. They remain 4-6-0 in their last ten games despite the win over Ottawa. Cam Ward stopped 34 shots en route to the win and the Canes had five different goal scorers. Ward will get the call again tonight, and Foegele will start on the fourth line but will have a chance to play on a penalty-kill unit as well. Here is how the Canes will line up:
Brock McGinn - Jordan Staal - Justin Williams
Jeff Skinner - Elias Lindholm - Phil Di Giuseppe
Valentin Zykov - Sebastian Aho - Teuvo Teravainen
Warren Foegele - Derek Ryan - Joakim Nordstrom
Jaccob Slavin - Klas Dahlbeck
Noah Hanifin - Trevor van Riemsdyk
Haydn Fleury - Roland McKeown
Cam Ward
Scott Darling
Ottawa struggled in their game against the Hurricanes, failing to get adequate goaltending from Mike Condon who stopped just 19 of 23 shots. Erik Karlsson returned to the lineup against the Canes and earned an assist, but did not make the trip to Raleigh and will not play again tonight. Craig Anderson will get the start for the Senators, who will line up like this :
Ryan Dzingel - Matt Duchene - Mike Hoffman
Magnus Paajarvi - Zack Smith - Tom Pyatt
Max McCormick - Jean-Gabriel Pageau - Bobby Ryan
Ben Sexton - Filip Chalapik - Alexander Burrows
Fredrick Claesson - Patrick Sieloff
Mark Borowiecki - Thomas Chabot
