Traverse City Tournament Day 4: Game Hub, Preview, How to Watch

The Hurricanes look to go out on a high note against the Stars.

Jamie Kellner

After two consecutive losses in the Traverse City prospect tournament, the Carolina Hurricanes have found themselves out of the running for a spot near the top of standings.

Instead, the Canes will take on the Dallas Stars today in the fifth-place game. The winner will finish the tournament as the fifth-seeded team. The loser will finish in sixth.

With a roster loaded with both top-end talent and lower-level roster invites, the Hurricanes have had trouble putting much of any consistent play together thus far in the tournament. After a 4-1 win in the opening game against the St. Louis Blues, things have gone down hill.

That said, this group of players has a chance to go out and end things on a high note before packing their bags and heading back to Raleigh for training camp.

Enjoy the hockey!
