The Hurricanes - excuse me, the undefeated Carolina Hurricanes -take on the Stanley Cup winning Washington Capitals tonight in their third game of the preseason. The Canes are coming off of a pair of wins over the Tampa Bay Lightning, while the Caps are 0-3 with two losses to the Boston Bruins and a 5-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens last night.
Here’s what you can expect to see tonight on both sides:
The Hurricanes are coming out with a good amount of NHL talent tonight as opposed to the Capitals, who are without Alex Ovechkin. Expect to see Petr Mrazek in net again tonight and Alex Nedeljkovic in his relief. On the other end of the ice, we’ll probably see Braden Holtby for at least the first period.
