Welcome to Hurricane Tracking! This is the third installment in our semi-regular series, delayed a few days from where it should have been thanks to intrusions from real life. Better late than never, though.
Two weeks ago, we introduced a new project, SB Nation FanPulse, which will eventually merge with Hurricane Tracking. The first FanPulse questions asked registered users to predict which teams would crash the playoff party, and which of last year’s participants would fall short. We are pleased to announce that the Hurricanes aren’t among the latter group; in fact, they were way down the list. Here are the top five for each:

Now, onto this edition of Hurricane Tracking. Before we get to the new polls, here is how they looked the last time we took the temperature of the fanbase:
- Approval ratings: Dundon 99% (up from 97%), Waddell 97% (down from 99%), Brind’Amour 99% (down from 100%)
- Approve/disapprove Jordan Staal as captain: 93% approve
- Faulk trade: 85% approve
- Goaltending confidence: 14% very confident, 83% somewhat, 3% not at all
- Overall confidence in team: 47% very confident, 52% somewhat, 1% not at all
- Right/wrong track: 99% right track (down from 100%)
