- The Hurricanes and Red Wings are meeting for the second time this season. They will wrap up the season series in Detroit in March.
- The Hurricanes picked up a dominant 7-3 win in Raleigh on November 1st. 12 separate Hurricanes picked up a point, led by Sebastian Aho (2g, 1a) and Dougie Hamilton (3a).
