Game Notes

  • The Hurricanes are playing at home on Black Friday for the third consecutive season. Tonight marks the 26th Black Friday game in franchise history, with the team owning a 15-8-2-0 record. The Canes are 4-4-0 on Black Friday in PNC Arena.
  • The Canes will be donning their black alternate uniforms for the fourth time out of 15. Since debuting their third jerseys last summer, the Hurricanes own a 19-4-2 record in the black thread, including a 3-0-0 record this season.

  • The Hurricanes swapped out fourth-line centers on Friday morning, sending Eetu Luostarinen to Charlotte and recalling Clark Bishop from the Checkers. It’s the first recall of the year for the Checkers’ captain, who made his NHL debut last season and appeared in 20 regular-season games and two in the playoffs.
