Stalking The Standings
The Canes continue to shoot themselves in the foot having now given up at least a point in five of their last six games and losing three of those outright. This means they only have a 1 point lead over both the Blue Jackets and Canadiens.
Around the league the Blue Jackets took down Montreal 6-2 which puts them in to the second wild card spot via the tiebreaker. The Islanders scored twice in the final two minutes to come from behind and defeat the Winnipeg Jets 5-4 allowing them to move back ahead of Pittsburgh in the standings.
