The banker took a real bath last week. All but one of us took some variation on the Hurricanes to cover -1.5 against the Wild, which of course they did, and it resulted in each of us except one making money. The only silver lining for the banker is that Nino Niederreiter didn’t score, so there’s no banker’s bonus this week. Otherwise, our punters are laughing all the way to...well, you know.
This is the final regular edition of the Wager Wire for this season. We will have a season-ending betting spectacular next Saturday, our final chance for the merry band of degenerates to make a buck off the bank, so come back for that next week. For this week, it’s still as normal, and the standings are mighty tight at the top. If a bet or two hits this week, it could make a huge difference in who claims the inaugural Wager Wire title.
