Following a Game 7 win that defied any logical description, the Carolina Hurricanes now have only a day to turn their attention to the New York Islanders for the second round of the 2019 Stanley Cup playoffs.

The Hurricanes will begin their first-ever matchup with the Islanders in the postseason on Friday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The full schedule is below, and includes a potential back-to-back, with travel, in Games 6 and 7 if the series extends that long.

John Forslund will have the call of every game of the series on either NBC or NBCSN. Beginning with the second round, game broadcasts are exclusive to national rights holders, so there will not be a broadcast on Fox Sports Carolinas. Here is how the schedule looks:

  • Game 1: Friday, April 26, 7:00 p.m., Barclays Center, NBCSN
  • Game 2: Sunday, April 28, 3:00 p.m., Barclays Center, NBC
  • Game 3: Wednesday, May 1, 7:00 p.m., PNC Arena, NBCSN
  • Game 4: Friday, May 3, 7:00 p.m., PNC Arena, NBCSN
  • Game 5 (if necessary): Sunday, May 5, Barclays Center, time and network TBD
  • Game 6 (if necessary): Tuesday, May 7, PNC Arena, time and network TBD
  • Game 7 (if necessary): Wednesday, May 8, Barclays Center, time and network TBD
