Yesterday’s News Today

Ok, everyone breathe. July 1st, also known as the first day of NHL free agency, has come and gone. Some familiar faces will return, others have moved on. A quick recap of where things stand.

Returning for sure: Petr Mrazek (signed a 2 year, $6.25m extension), Brock McGinn (pending arbitration which will result in a minimum 1 year extension in Carolina), the Fox Sports Carolinas crew (John Forslund and Tripp Tracy signed 1 year extensions, and Mike Maniscalco returns as well)

Almost certainly returning: Sebastian Aho (see above - and below)

Gone:

Still To Be Determined: Justin Williams, Michael Ferland, Saku Maenalanen, Haydn Fleury, Clark Bishop, Gustav Forsling, Anton Forsberg, Trevor Carrick, Roland McKeown
