The Canes announce their 2019-20 TV schedule and uniform schedule, Rod Brind’Amour is on the radio tonight, and which Metro team has the best fans?

Hurricanes Announce 2019-20 Broadcast Schedule

  • On Monday the Hurricanes announced their television schedule for the 2019-20 season, and it will be an easy one for fans to remember. With the exception of the Mar. 5 game against the Flyers, which will air on NBCSN, the remaining 81 games will be aired on FOX Sports Carolinas and the FOX Sports GO app (in other words, no more searching for the location of that elusive FOX Sports Southeast alternative channel). John Forslund, Tripp Tracy, and Mike Maniscalco will respectively handle the play-by-play, color, and rink-side duties, and Shane Willis will join the pre-game and post-game shows. [Press Release on]
  • In addition to the TV schedule, the uniform schedule was also announced yesterday. The Canes will wear their new white uniforms 42 times (every road game and one home game on Oct. 12), their red 24 times, their black jerseys 15 times, and the Whalers green once (Jan. 11 at home).

Training Camp Update

  • The Hurricanes have changed up today’s practice schedule. Two groups will take the ice for practice, one at 10:00 am and the other at 11:15 am, and in between they’ll hold a scrimmage at 10:45 am. As a reminder, unless otherwise indicated all practices are open to the public and the full Practice Schedule can be found on the Canes website.
  • As of this morning the training camp roster remains at 43 players. Yesterday five players were placed on waivers: forward Brian Gibbons and defensemen Fredrik Claesson, Alex Lintuniemi, Roland McKeown, and Kyle Wood.
