Every now and again the entire country world comes together to mourn the loss of an icon. Sadly, yesterday was one of those days. The loss of Kobe Bryant was felt around the world and shook everyone. It was a horrific tragedy and the loss of all nine people on board is devastating.

Yes, this is website about hockey and specifically the Carolina Hurricanes, but at the end of the day we are all sports fans. More importantly, we are all humans.

We send our strongest condolences to the Bryant family during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in Peace Mamba.
