Game Notes

  • The Hurricanes will be wearing their black alternate jerseys for the 10th time this season. They enter tonight’s matchup with a 6-2-1 record in their black threads this season, and a 22-6-3 record since their introduction prior to the 2018-19 season.
  • The Hurricanes and Knights are meeting for the first of two matchups this season. The Canes will visit T-Mobile Arena next Saturday to close out the season series.
  • Tonight’s matchup is the fifth all-time meeting between the two clubs. The Canes own a 2-2-0 record in the series, including a 1-1-0 record in North Carolina.
  • Both Jordan Staal and Justin Williams have yet to score a goal against Vegas since their inaugural season in 2017-18. A goal by either veteran would earn them the status of scoring at least one goal against all 31 NHL teams.
  • Through 50 games this season, the Hurricanes have posted a 29-18-3 record for 61 points. This marks a seven-point improvement over the team’s record through 50 games last season. The team has posted their second-most wins and points through 50 games in franchise history.
