Game Notes

  • ICYMI (really?!), the Hurricanes announced an NHL Stadium Series at Carter-Finley Stadium next February. [Us]
  • The Hurricanes and Oilers are meeting for their second and final matchup of the season. The Canes picked up a 6-3 win against Edmonton at Rogers Place on December 10th. Sebastian Aho picked up a pair of goals in the win, including his 100th career goal. James Reimer made 33 saves in the win.
  • Reimer has an impressive 7-2-2 record, including a .915 Save Percentage, 2.67 Goals Allowed Average, and two shutouts in 12 career games against Edmonton.
  • Andrei Svechnikov has tallied five points (1g, 4a) in three career games against the Oilers.
  • Sebastian Aho is slated to play in his 300th NHL game tonight. He will become the fifth player selected in the 2015 draft to play in 300 NHL games. Aho was drafted 35th overall in 2015, but ranks third in the draft class in goals and fourth in points.
