This is SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NHL. Each week, SB Nation sends out questions to the most plugged-in Hurricanes fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts. Follow @SBNReacts on Twitter for more results.
There may only be four teams still playing hockey in the NHL right now, but every fanbase still has thoughts on their own team.
In the latest round of SB Nation’s Reacts survey, NHL fans were asked if they were confident their favorite team was headed in the right direction. The Canes were bounced early in the playoffs, but the postseason action is enough to have fans excited for the team’s future.

The Hurricanes appear to be set up well for the foreseeable future, with a great coach in Rod Brind’Amour and young core that includes Sebastian Aho, Teuvo Teravainen, Andrei Svechnikov, Brett Pesce, Jaccob Slavin, Martin Necas and Dougie Hamilton, so it’s no surprise to see that fans are confident.
