The 5-0 Carolina Hurricanes will face a tough test at home Thursday night, as the Canes welcome the Boston Bruins into PNC Arena for a matchup of teams with lofty aspirations.
The Canes are coming off a 4-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs in a game where Frederik Andersen knocked off his former team and moved to 5-0 himself. Will it be Andersen’s net once again Thursday night, or will Antti Raanta finally get the call? That remains to be seen.
The ever-dangerous Bruins come into the game 3-2-0, fresh off a Wednesday night loss against the Florida Panthers. Linus Ullmark got the start in net Wednesday, so there’s a good chance the Canes will see Jeremy Swayman Thursday night.
It’s always fun when two extremely talented teams playing great hockey get the chance to square off, and that’s what fans in PNC Arena will be treated to Thursday night.
