The Carolina Hurricanes are the last team in the NHL without a single loss and they will look to keep that streak going as they welcome the winless Arizona Coyotes to Raleigh for an afternoon, Halloween showdown.

Game Notes

  • The Florida Panthers fell to the Boston Bruins last night making the Carolina Hurricanes the last remaining undefeated team in the NHL.
  • With Nino Niederreiter seemingly out for a while, it looks like Seth Jarvis will finally get to draw into the lineup. It will be interesting to see how he performs and even more so to see which line he ends up on.
  • The Hurricanes last played the Coyotes on February 7, 2020 (5-3 W) and have won the last three meetings between the two clubs.
  • The Canes are 2-1-1 in Halloween games since relocation.
  • Whichever goalie ends up playing for Carolina on Sunday, it will be a milestone regardless. Frederik Andersen is one game away from playing his 400th and Antti Raanta is one away from playing his 200th.
  • The special teams battle could see this game get out of hand as the Coyotes are rocking the league’s worst penalty kill at just barely above a 50% success rate and the second worst power play in the league, only better than the Vegas Golden Knights who have yet to score on the man advantage. The Hurricanes on the other hand are in the top-six in the league for both.
