Coming off an October to remember, the Hurricanes are looking to start a November that will include 10 road games on the right foot tonight. They’ll face their first repeat opponent of the season, and conclude their season series with the Blackhawks after beating them 6-3 in Raleigh on Friday night.

The Hurricanes are looking to extend their franchise record start to the season to 9-0-0, and also match a franchise record for consecutive wins in this one.

It looks like there will be no changes to Sunday’s lineup as Nino Niederreiter remains out, and Frederik Andersen remains between the pipes, looking to extend the start of his Hurricanes career to 8-0-0. Here’s how Carolina projects to line up for this one:

Jordan Martinook - Sebastian Aho - Teuvo Teravainen
Andrei Svechnikov - Vincent Trocheck - Martin Necas
Jesperi Kotkaniemi - Jordan Staal - Jesper Fast
Steven Lorentz - Derek Stepan - Seth Jarvis

Jaccob Slavin - Ethan Bear
Brady Skjei - Brett Pesce
Ian Cole - Tony DeAngelo

Frederik Andersen
Antti Raanta

Injuries: Nino Niederreiter (lower body)

Scratches: Brendan Smith (healthy)

It looks like the Blackhawks will make a bit of a lineup shuffle on Friday night, as Henrik Borgstrom has been activated from the NHL’s COVID protocol, but Tyler Johnson and Isaak Phillips have been added.

Jeremy Colliton did not announce a lineup for tonight’s game, but Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun Times did report that Marc-Andre Fleury was in the starter’s crease for Chicago this morning.

Stay tuned for more information on the Blackhawks’ lineup as puck drop gets closer.
