This is SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NHL. Each week, SB Nation sends out questions to the most plugged in Carolina Hurricanes fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.
According to the latest SB Nation Reacts survey, 90 percent of Hurricanes fans believe the team is headed in the right direction. That’s down from 95 percent last week and 96 percent two weeks ago.
The team is in good shape, however, sitting in first place in the Central Division with nine games left and one point away from clinching a playoff spot.

This week one of the most storied NHL records fell when Patrick Marleau played his 1,768th game, surpassing Gordie Howe. Other than the record, Marleau’s career may not rival that of Howe, but the longtime San Jose Sharks forward has had an extremely impressive run.
More than two-thirds of NHL fans believe Marleau’s career is deserving of induction to the Hall of Fame.

The number of fans that think he will reach the Hall, deserving or not, is even higher.
