Carolina Hurricanes at Nashville Predators: Game Preview and Storm Advisory

The Carolina Hurricanes look to close out the regular season with a win over the Nashville Predators to keep their President’s Trophy bid alive.

The Carolina Hurricanes enter tonight’s game tied for first place in the league. With the Vegas Golden Knights holding the regulation wins and ROW tiebreakers, the Canes have to win tonight’s game to keep their chances alive to win the President’s Trophy. While the President’s Trophy is the world’s worst consolation prize, it means more this season than any other with seeding in the final four.

The Canes will also face the Nashville Predators in the first round of the playoffs, so it would benefit them to have some momentum heading into the best-of-seven series. They are also looking to avoid their first consecutive losses since Feb. 25. Jaccob Slavin left Saturday night’s game due to injury, and we’ll hear more on his status from Rod Brind’Amour after today’s 12:30 Eastern morning skate.
