  • There has been quite a bit of confusion as to why the Nashville Predators will be allowed to host over 12k fans for their playoff home games while the Hurricanes remain at around 5-6k.

We finally have some answers as to why this is. Despite Governor Cooper’s executive order’s allowing up to 50% capacity in the arena, there is a clause in there that stipulates this can only be done if certain social distancing protocols are met. PNC Arena can only get to around 6k fans while meeting this restriction. Despite asking for an exemption, the team was denied any extra capacity by the Governor’s office this week.
