The Carolina Hurricanes will take on the Chicago Blackhawks for the second game of a back-to-back and second of three straight matches.

The Canes took the first game of the series last night with a 5-2 win, much thanks to a Sebastian Aho hat trick.

Rookie netminder Alex Nedeljkovic last night also reached the games played milestone to retain his RFA status for next season, which is huge for the Canes in re-signing the standout goaltender.

With a regulation win tonight, the Hurricanes can finish no lower than second place in the division and have a magic number of five for securing first in the division.

Also with Vegas losing in regulation last night, the Canes now control their own destiny for finishing at the top of the entire league for the President’s Trophy.

With four games remaining it will be a battle to the top, but Carolina is in the best position to make it.
