Carolina Hurricanes vs. Tampa Bay Lightning Game Five: Lineups and Game Discussion

The Hurricanes will look to stave off elimination and keep their season alive tonight.

If the Hurricanes are going to keep their season alive, they’ll need to win three straight against the Tampa Bay Lightning. That starts tonight at PNC Arena, as the Canes look to shake off a tough loss in game four - and stay out of the penalty box.

The Canes could get some reinforcements in their lineup - Nino Niederreiter returned to practice yesterday, and Rod Brind’Amour said each of Niederreiter, Warren Foegele and Vincent Trocheck would take warmups tonight and see how they feel.

Brind’Amour did not name a starting goalie, but, following a shaky outing from Petr Mrazek in game four, could go back to Alex Nedeljkovic. It doesn’t look like the Bolts will make any changes.

Here’s how these two teams are projected to line up tonight:

Andrei Svechnikov - Sebastian Aho - Teuvo Teravainen
Nino Niederreiter - Vincent Trocheck - Martin Necas
Brock McGinn - Jordan Staal - Jesper Fast
