Preseason Game Five Preview - Hurricanes at Predators

Few vets are making this trip

NHL: 2023 Season Player Headshots Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports

The Hurricanes will bring a roster with primarily non-veteran players to Nashville tonight.

Pyotr Kochetkov and Antti Raanta will play in goal for the visitors but that will be about it for players who were regulars from last season.

It will most likely be the last chance for tryout players and young players to show what they’ve got. The following is from ch.com.

The Canes announced that they released two players earlier today. Jayden Halbgewachs was released from his tryout contract and Bryce Montgomery was assigned to the South Carolina Sting Rays of the ECHL.

That leaves a total of 44 players still with the team. More changes are expected to be made Saturday.
