The Canes will ice a lineup similar to Opening Night’s roster.

Writer’s Note: Thanks to Bob Wage for welcoming me as a writer for Canes Country. The very first hockey game I ever attended was a Hurricanes game in Greensboro back in 1997, and I have been a fan ever since. I have written over 500 articles for ‘Tar Heel Blog’ on the SBNation network, and I am excited to cover the Canes this season.

Unlike Thursday night’s prospects and minor leaguer game in Nashville, the Carolina Hurricanes regulars will take the ice tonight at PNC Arena.

The final preseason game will boast a lineup similar to what will be seen next Wednesday in the season opener against Ottawa.

Below is the lineup for tonight’s game:

The Canes will ice 11 forwards and seven defensemen, with Andrei Svechnikov being the only scratch from the expected opening night lineup.

Frederik Andersen is the likely starter tonight, with former Quinnipiac University goaltender Yaniv Perets serving as backup.

As of writing, Nashville has not released its lineup. Based on its veteran lineup from Thursday night, the Predators may rest their regulars.

Here’s how to check out the action tonight:

  • Time: 7:00 PM ET
  • Location: PNC Arena - Raleigh, NC
  • TV: None
