Blue Jackets @ Hurricanes: Game Preview and Game Thread

After an embarrassing performance on Friday night, the Canes look to rebound against Columbus.

The Carolina Hurricanes will look to put their 8-2 thrashing at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the rear view mirror as they face the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday at the PNC Arena.

The game has an early 5 P.M. start time and will be on Bally Sports South as usual.

The Canes now have an 11-8-0 record and currently sit in fourth place in their division. They have a very pedestrian 6-4-0 record in their last 10 games. The team looks to finish up their homestand with a win after going 2-2-0 in their last four.

Columbus has had their own problems and sit in last place in the Met with a 6-11-4 record. They have a 2-6-2 record in their last 10 but they have won two games in a row with recent victories over the Blackhawks and Devils.

There was no morning skate today due to the early start time so there have been no official line up announcements but I would expect the same group from Saturday night.

Should Brind’Amour start Antti Raanta again for a quick chance to erase the last game’s ugly memories or give him a break and start the young Pyotr Kochetkov? Time will tell.
