The Carolina Hurricanes put an end to their four game losing streak with a 4-1 win over the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night.
Sebastian Aho scored twice and had an assist as Pyotr Kochetkov played well in net while making 31 saves for the win.
After falling behind 1-0 in the first period, the Canes tied the game on a Martin Necas powerplay shot from the circle area with just 1:11 left in the period.
The Canes took over the the game in the second with three unanswered goals.
Aho would score his first of the night on another powerplay tally. The Canes were 2-2 with the man advantage on this night and the penalty kill remained perfect as Ottawa went 0-4.
Aho then left a gorgeous drop pass for Seth Jarvis, who made no mistake.
With two minutes and change left, Aho scored again, his 10th of the season.
The Senators would make a push in the third but Kochetkov stood tall to hold on for the win.
Carolina went with 7 defensemen and 11 forwards in this one. Tony DeAngelo filled in on defense and moved the puck well on the powerplay. Lemieux was the healthy extra.
The Canes next face the Red Wings and will close out the road trip on Thursday night.
