The Carolina Hurricanes take on the Buffalo Sabres tonight at the PNC Arena for the team’s last home game before going on the road for six games. Game time is 7 P.M. and after a brief hiatus for the past two games, it will be televised by Bally Sports South.

The Canes are still in second place in the Metropolitan Division with 27 points and a 13-8-1 record with the Caps right behind with 26 points and two games in hand.

The Sabres are currently sitting in sixth position in the Atlantic with a 10-11-2 record.

Carolina did not hold a morning skate today so there was no announcement about the line up and about who the starting goalie will be.

After practice yesterday it seemed that Antti Raanta might be moving back to the starter’s crease.

These two teams met on November 7th and the Hurricanes came out on top, 3-2 OT, with a Martin Necas game winning goal in overtime.

Will one of the fastest skaters in the NHL do it again?
