The Carolina Hurricanes start a six game road trip tonight as they face the Winnipeg Jets in Winnipeg at 7:30 tonight. The game will be televised by Bally Sports South.

The Canes are coming off an impressive 6-2 win against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday and they currently sit in second place in the Metropolitan Division with 29 points and a 14-8-1 record.

The Jets are third in the Central Division with 28 points and a 13-8-2 record.

Their last game was a 3-1 win over the Blackhawks but they suffered loses in their three previous games.

The Jets will most likely have Connor Hellebuyck in goal who has an 11-6-0-1 record and a .912 save percentage. They are led by Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor who have 25 points and 24 points respectively.

Former Hurricane Nino Niederreiter has 14 points and has a solid +9 rating. He just signed a three year contract worth $4 million per year to stay in Winnipeg.

Walter Ruff has forecasted that Antti Raanta will get the start for Carolina, if he is feeling up to it. The coaching staff wanted to give Kochetkov a break the last game.

The rest of the lineup should be the same as last game.
