The Carolina Hurricanes host the St. Louis Blues tonight at the PNC Arena. Take note - Puck drop is at 8 P.M. tonight.

The game will be televised by Bally Sports South.

The Hurricanes record is 22-13-4 and they are riding a five game winning streak.

The Blues are at 19-17-1. They have a 6-3 record since the hiring of their new coach, Drew Bannister, who replaced Craig Berube on December 13.

Andrei Svechnikov and Sebastian Aho are red hot. Svechnikov has six consecutive multi-point games, which ties a franchise record.

Both players have combined for 30 points in their last six games.

While Pyotr Kochetkov has played very well in recent games, the expected netminder for Carolina tonight will be Antti Raanta, who has an excellent home record.

Martin Necas, (upper body injury) and Stefan Noesen (illness) are both questionable for tonight. Jesper Fast is also injured and is not expected to play.

Vasily Ponomarev filled in last night and had a goal and assist in his NHL debut. I would look for him again tonight.
